Considering Sommers's track record, it's probably good.
My dad was a big fan of the old movie serial (starring Buster Crabbe!), TV show (yes, from the 1950s) and comic book.
I've only seen the 1980 movie once, but we all know the soundtrack is great (Flash!...Ahhhhhhhh).
Also, since the Mummy, the Scorpion King and Van Helsing got games, Flash could too.
Thoughts?
Opinions?

Yes, another behind-the-scenes documentry with Stephen Sommers. He will be writing the script as well. Sommers is also co-producing The Big Love, which the plot of the film is: A woman's boyfriend leaves her for his ex-girlfriend, which drives her to have numerous sexual adventures while looking for her big love. Leaves the interviews in behind-the-scenes to documentries to Sommers, but don't let him work on the actual film.

Couldn't stand Van Helsing, didn't care for Mummy 2, so this isn't good news to me. BUT, the man did direct Deep Rising.

Personally I don't really care since I'm not going to see the movie anyway. I never was into the whole Flash Gordon thing, and to be perfectly honest I'm not exactly sure what it is. I would rather have him make a new Mummy or a Scorpian King 2 movie. I mean you kind of have to make a Scorpian King 2 movie at least considering hes all good at the end of that one, but however many years later at the start of The Mummy Returns hes a ruthless dictator. Eventually it will probably happen though so I'll just have to wait. I hate waiting.

There should be a show on NBC where Stephen Sommers appears in behind-the-scenes documentries for films he has nothing to do with whatsoever, sorry I have a thing for Stephen Sommers and behind-the-scenes documentries, don't ask why because I don't know why.
