Ok, well, I've decided that i'd like to expand past PS, and learn how to make GIF's. Upon searching the net, I can't find a really god tutorial to LEARN how to BEGIN. If anyone could please hook me up with a beginning tutorial, or something, it would be great. Thanks.

There's like no tutorials.

Teach yourself, heh.

I had to animate some gifs for a web class I took a while back. We had to use two different applications Corel (formerly Jasc) Animation Shop (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3/Products/Display&pfid=1047024307383&pid=1047024390003) and Marcomedia Fireworks (http://www.macromedia.com/software/fireworks/). Fortunately, we didn't have to buy the full versions, we only used the trial versions. We used these apps with this book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0672325195/qid=1130006362/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-6367051-7531851?v=glance&s=books). I forget which chapter (or day since that's what the bok uses) the instructions were in, but it worked with the Macromedia app. After that, I was able to trip, stumble and face plant my way through the Corel app. Like I said earlier, there's demo versions of each app to play with.

imageready isnt really good for animation, its a clunky interface and you have to do a lot of planning for it to make anything well. BUT, Flash is awesome if you want to actually make some cartoons.

I just use imageready when i wanna make macros or quick little animations :/
