Even though the 9800 pro had a lower framerate, it is damn well good enough, even for Half-Life 2!!

this is what cuased m to change my mind adn go all otu for the 6800 ultra, then ebay it in liek 1 1/2 to 2 years when newer cards come out.

I'm actually getting around 30 fps average with my Geforce 4 with all settings turned off, and on the lowest settings. Ocassionally it leaps to 60 when I'm in the dark. I am very impressed; the game still looks and plays great.

yeah, my 9800 pro handles Doom fairly well i hope the same goes for Half-Life 2

HL2 should runs fine. HL2 has lower requirements.

not to mention the under the counter deal they made with ATI so ATI cards run 30% better than Nvidia cards...

I Played this at my friends yesterday and although his computer his only mid-low range it was still awesome... sure it would be A LOT better with a better card... but even on the lower settings it rocked...
