I just recently bought a PS2(waited for the price drop..im cheap i know) and i was wondering I should invest in the component cables?I just bought Midnight Club 2 and i thought it looked like crap..I know its more Gameplay over Visuals but its getting to me for some reason..So..Do you think paying the $30 for the component would be worth it? i dont have a HDTV but i do have the component hook ups..so any advice/opinions would be helpful..thanks

I also have a TV that has component but no HD, and I really can't tell too much of a difference from S-Video. The graphics are just because the PS2 CPU can't handle as much as an Xbox or Gamecube, and really, all the component cables do are make the flaws sharper.

yeah i noticed that..i have a Gamecube..and i noticed the difference..as little as it may be..So your saying all the component does is just make the edges sharper rather than blurred? sorry im just trying to understand...

Pretty much. Component inputs actually give more clarity and stuff, so while it makes the goods gooder, it makes the bads badder at the same time.

Midnight Club 2 just isn't a very good-looking game at all...regardless of the platform. I have it on X-Box and at 480p, it's not even a strobelight honey.
