Over the past few years EA has been busy. They have the exclusive NFL and NCAA license which eliminates any competitive products for consumers. They tend to favor sequels and licensed games over original IP's. They also have been slowly "dumbing down" games to make them more approachable to the "casual gamer".
It's not easy being the biggest game publisher on the planet... But what are they doing to Ubisoft...according to reports, EA has been trying to buy up shares of Ubi in a possible hostile takeover of the company. With so many great franchises like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry among others, it's obvious why EA wants to bring them into the family.
Of course we were wondering just how such a takeover might be thwarted... Perhaps this is how it would go.
