They're an awesome band that have been around for about a year, they're beyond AWESOME in concert, but their CD was below what I was expecting.

Just incase you don't know, Velvet Revolver has 3 band members from the legendary Guns n' Roses. The lead guitarist, Slash, the bassist, Duff McKagan, and the drummer, Matt Sorum. The lead singer is the former frontman from Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Wieland. Dave Kushner is the rhythem guitarist, he's very good too. Izzy Stradlin, the former rhythem guitarist of Guns n' Roses has rumors about him showing at a few concerts, hope I'm at one of 'em!

Anyone see them in concert or a fan of VR?

The real amazing part is that Scott Weiland has gone six months without being charged for something.

This ensemble just defines the term "sweet". Who else could have done better?

SCOTT WEILAND Ordered Into Drug Rehab - July 8, 2004

VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland (ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS) has been sentenced to a six-month stint in a drug program after pleading no contest to driving under the influence in Los Angeles, according to Reuters. In addition, Weiland was placed on probation and ordered to repay the owner of a parked vehicle he rammed shortly before his October arrest on the misdemeanor DUI charge.

Under the terms of Weiland's latest probation, he'll be required to enroll in a six-month drug-treatment program and attend three Narcotics Anonymous meetings per week for the next three years, according to MTV.com. Weiland will also be required to submit to regular drug testing, as well as periodic drug testing at the discretion of the police (with or without probable cause), according to the city attorney's office. During this probation, Weiland is prohibited from being in the possession of, or under the influence of, both alcohol and drugs.

Weiland, 36, previously was placed in a live-in detoxification program after an earlier arrest in May 2003 for heroin possession. In 1999, he served jail time for repeatedly violating his probation on drug charges and for failing to complete drug rehabilitation stints.

The song they are playing on the radio is great. Slash is an amazing guitarist and Scott is simply brilliant (if he can just stay out of jail)
It does sound very G&Rish though, and I think it's just sad that Axl couldn't get his shit together so G&R could be what it was.

That's so true but Axel will never get his shit together.

Yeah.. I saw the video from them and, although the video is quite odd, the song is sweet. I might pick up the CD this week, but I dunno.

BTW, my soon-to-be g/f thinks the the singer is hot. :?

Speaking of Scott Weiland, I can perfectly do the dance he does in the Sour Girl (mms://wm.wmg.com/atlrec/stone_temple_pilots/wm/vid/musicvideos/sour_girl300.asf) video.
