Here it is. There is easily over $1000 in parts on this bad boy. I built it when I was still a teenager. I just HAD to have the coolest bike around. Now, it's been collecting dust, and I'd like to see it go to someone who will use it like it needs to be used. I'm asking $600 for it, but we can negotiate. I know it's a lot for a bike, but this is top of the line.

Hey dude.

Thats a pretty nice bike. I'm more of a roadie myself, but I know a bunch of guys that would probably want that. You want me to PM you about it?

Some bikes can be very expensive depending on the parts. I just bought a $1,500 track (Fuji pro ftw) bike yesterday, and also have:

- $600 (when released) '03 Fuji Track (for commuting)
- $900 '05 LeMond Reno.
- $1,200 '72 Bianchi Pista.

and a $90 '61 Puch 130 :D.

Lance Armstrong's timetrial bike from '05 was worth $13,000 something when fully built. It was a personal custom frame though. Bastard.

There are wheels out there that cost $600 by themselves heh.

And I also think spending that much on a Ferrari is just plain stupid.

I actually am on a competing team here, so nice frames that win costr a bit of money. And it isn't just the frame, it is also the fact that I constantly upgrade my bikes with better stuff. Think of it like this:

An FX 5200 card will play games, but if you are a hardcore gamer, the 7800 GTX will do your system more justice. (if the 7800 GTX isn't top of the line... sorry heh)

Plus... when your life is consumed by something, better is always better :).

I think it's quite silly as well....Of course I've never had one so....

My stance is that it would be silly to buy a Ferrari when you are a) Not a hardcore car enthusiast and b) not entirely sure that you have enough money (ehich a lot of people do sadly : /).

First, I have been buying bikes ever since I was 11 when I started racing. Second, I AM a hardcore enthusiast when it comes to bicycles: I ride them everyday, am on a team that focuses on track racing, and I commute everywhere on my bike (no car).

Lastly... I know I have enough money for these bikes :). I don't buy them all at once, so debt is not a worry of mine.

Heh :).

I would actually want to, but I am currently in the process of fixing up my Schwinn Specialized BMX to sell.

Your crank would look really nice on my bike though..
