We were expecting to get some time with the PS3 at ces and brought along a mic to podcast the experience.

I got the chance to actually see it in action so it's half audio/half video.

EDIT: Complete and OH MY GOD! I was NOT expecting the PS3 to be like that! I had onyl heard rumours, but DAMN! I want that nice machine now! That is a huge power supply, though......

I don't know...depending on how much, I might go off and reserve it right now.

Since the power supply is bigger on the PS3, I wonder how big it'll be when the Revo comes out. I think I've met Joe Something at another info both. And I think the PS3 wants yer soulpatch.

I understand you were making fun of the situation, but the anticipation to see what doesn't wind up being there is a bit of a letdown. It's like, "Heh heh *sigh*. That sucked."

But satire is good. I just don't know if everyone reacted the way I did or not.

I did feel extremely punked because I thought that Scot was being sincere especially considering the contacts he has, but I got over it pretty quickly. I'm just very glad I didn't hype up the footage on my show any more than a passing mention - I would have lost a lot of credibility had I claimed to have exclusive PS3 footage and then had this to show for it...I don't have the track record Scot does to get away with it. :>

The video was extremely funny the way it was edited, however.

We booked that trip because we saw Sony was the report Sony would be showing it off back in Nov. When we realized it wasnt gonna be there we thought we would have some fun. The fact that everyone and their mother was going to interview people about the stuff at the show made me realize it would be best to just use our time to have some fun and provide an entertaining clip.

At the end of the day it was meant to give you a little chuckle.

Oh, I got the chuckle from the video. I had just believed you when you said:

Hmm, the video production was "ok". I also hoped Sony would have showed off a bit more than just nothing at CES if they indeed plan to go forward with a Spring 2006 release. (Which seems highly unlikely now.) Anyways CES isn't supposed to have much video games, so I guess we just have to wait until E3.

They showed the same videos except a new one of lair. The Warhawk footage was the only one that looked like actual gameplay and it didnt look any better than 360 games. I think Sony is gonna have some issues if they can't demonstrate games that "blow away" the 360.

But didn't they do the same thing with the Playstation 2? I remember seeing amazing pictures in Gamepro and some others that I was subscribed too when they announced the PS2 at that time.

Guys I hate to say it, but this video made me lose the will to live within the first few minutes. I have a pretty good sense of humour but there was nothing funny about the crappy still pics and blatent attempt at making this funny.
