Iron Spider(-Man) - the new Spider-Man costume (http://comics.ign.com/articles/680/680863p1.html)
The assholes at marvel have really botched this job up, if you ask me.
I think Iron Man is going to be pretty fucking pissed when he sees this.

Well, according to the article...Tony Stark (Iron Man) is the one who made this costume...but decided to use his colors.
Which is probably the main reason why it looks terrible (IMO) on Spider-Man.

I don't really like it, I like the classic look.
Then again, I don't really care either way.

I like everything except the yellow, the artstyle is really cool and fresh. But, the yellow looks extremely tacky on Spiderman.

I don't read comics, so I didn't think I would care, but that's just wretched.
I seriously thought, when reading what you guys had to say, that it couldn't be "that bad'. It was.
Horrible.

The concept could be okay, but the art work stinks. I like more traditional artwork. Beef him up so I can imagine a person inside that costume.
Spidey is officially dumb. Get that bitch Mary Jane to sew his suit not some guy.

There's been tons of changes to Spider-Man's costume before.

Every superhero in the book gets a costume change eventually, just to piss of fans and then 6 months later they revert back to the classic one. This one will be there for a few months then he'll get the old one back.

I'll say this much, it looks a lot better in that shot. In fact, I'm actually sort of liking it (although I still hate the Iron Man colors on Spider-Man)
Oh, and something else:
You've seen the previews of the new suit; now see Spider-Man put his new costume into action. This is no mere fashion change either, as the costume is actually an armor equipped with several pieces of advanced weaponry, including pincer claws and many others surprises.
The best part of all is that Peter is going to be getting accustomed to his new armor on the fly, surprising his foes, readers, and even himself with the suit's capabilities.

I just read "The Other." KICK ASS COMIC STORYLINE! I haven't read the actual issue where Peter wears the suit, but man...I loved this story.
I recommend it for a good read :).

I was just looking up some Civil War stuff, and I re-encountered one of IGN's Marvel comic month overview things...and I came across this one image of the new Spider-Man, and I have to say now - I'm actually kind of liking it.

Supported by a system similar to that of Stark's classic Iron Man design, it features many gadgets, including three mechanical spider-arms, or "waldoes," that can be used to see around corners (via cameras in the tips) and to manipulate objects indirectly. Stark describes them as too delicate to use in combat, yet Spider-Man shortly afterward uses them to smash through the sensors in Titanium Man's helmet. Later on during the Civil War storyline, he uses them, (reluctantly), during his fight with Captain America.
Other features include short-distance gliding capability, limited bulletproofing, built-in fire/police/emergency scanner, audio/visual amplification (including infrared and ultraviolet), cloaking device, carbon filters to keep out airborne toxins, and a short-range GPS microwave communication system. It grants the ability to breathe under water, and can morph into different shapes due to its "'smart' liquid metal" form. It can also "more or less disappear" when not needed. The new costume is able to look like other styles of costumes Spider-Man has worn over the years or turn into his street clothes. Part of the costume can detach it self from Spider-Man to cover an object too dangerous to touch, such as a radioactive asteroid. All these features are controlled by a computer system in the chest piece. The suit responds to mental control (The Amazing Spider-Man #530).
I believe the silver was just a basic armor [although the wiki says it was made out of 'webbing material'] without all the gadgets [plus it has Iron Man's colors, which is basically another way of saying how Peter was Stark's puppet for his Pro-Registration side during the series]
