FYI, in case your are wondering what the first good film was, it is Punch-Drunk Love, which he earned his first Golden Globe nomination, which you probably didn't. Below are a few links for that film. I should note that Punch-Drunk-Love is not a film for younger audiences.

Official Site For Spanglish (http://www.spanglish.com/), Adam Sandler's second good film, the site features a trailer.
Reasons Why This Will Be Good:
1)No signs of Peter Segal.
2)Academy-Award winner and Simpsons producer James L. Brooks is directing.
3)James L. Brooks track record.
4)Doesn't have the same plot as any other Sandler film.
5)The last time he partnered with a good director.
I think Adam Sandler needs to play a hitman in a movie.

You know, I really like Adam Sandler when he doesn't fall into the screaming-gibberish sort of character, but I still can't stand his singing!

Yeah, this looks pretty decent. He needs to keep on leaning towards these roles. I think its just the decision if he wants to make lots of money with crap like 50 first dates or if he wants to actually make something he is proud of.

Argh! My wife made me watch that thing! But then, I made her watch Master & Commander. She liked that about as much as I liked 50 First Dates.

Oh c'mon.. you guys are going to count out billy madison, waterboy, the wedding singer, etc.? Those were GOOD movies, and he's good at that kind of role. I do agree that it's cool to see him "out of character" once in a while, but he's good at what he does! :!:

::looks at sig::No, those films were good, excluding the wedding singer & Little Nicky (which was a good premise, just didn't cut it for me)
Noobtastic!

What about....
Waterboy?
Billy Madison?
Happy Glimore?
Anger Management?
I heard that Punch Drunk Love was a flop on his part, but I have yet to see it.

I love his earlier comedies. They were good movies. Obviously, they're just mindless movies, so you shouldn't expect too much from them. For what they were, they were great. Punch-Drunk Love was great, as well, but it's a different kind of movie. Hard to compare.
I'm still disappointed Sandler turned down Collateral. I definately would've seen it in the theater then.
