View Full Version : Update
Well things are really moving along, but it seems as we get one step closer we find another thing we want to include before launching.
So here is what the proposed schedule is looking like
Site soft launch this weekend
24-7 Radio Stream launched Sunday-Monday after the Superbowl
Music, All Games Classics (going back to 1997) and even a simulcast of the 1997 Game Developer Spotlight Awards (now referred to as the Game Developer Choice Awards)
Then I will be at the annual DICE conference in Las Vegas getting a few interviews and hearing some of the biggest names in gaming speak.
Then I'll fly back to LA for a live show on Friday Night to kick off with first impressions from DICE and any news that's sprung up.
Then the following week we're live each day.
The site is looking amazing thanks to the hard work of Ted and Apulo.
Wow back to '97? Rock on!

A bit down about the change for the show relaunch.
But the wait is definitely gonna be worth it.
Plus hope you have a great time @ DICE2k6

From what I can tell from reading this and chat, they'll do the 24/7 steam this Sunday/Monday and then the live show returns the following Friday.

Pretty much, that's what's going on.
We've been working for the past few weeks to get the proper licenses and whatnot to host a 24 hour internet radio station, complete with music (most of which is from my collection, thanks Media Play for the $4 soundtracks when you went out of business!) and old Allgames material that hasn't been heard in years. We're hoping to launch that after the Superbowl.
Now, that just means that we'll have the 24-7 stream going in beta mode - Scot's show, in the new format, will not be live again until the following Friday.
I'm really excited with what we've cooked up in the past few weeks in preparation.

I feel like George Broussard.
I'm not going to give an ETA on anything, but we're working on it. Things are going just fine - we haven't hit any snags, but it's more of a thing that we want to do it right the first time.
We actually had the 24-7 stream up last week as an alpha test, people who tuned into my show on Saturday got to hear us work on it. Worked fine. We're just finalizing some content decisions before moving forward.
As far as I know, AGI will still go on this Friday to discuss DICE as initially planned.

Har.
I believe the intention is to still broadcast thoughts about DICE tonight - obviously not on time. He was still in Vegas earlier this afternoon attending a panel, but I believe he's going straight to Arena Lounge when he gets into LA to broadcast.

About the audio stream. I'm assuming most of the music is from game soundtracks. Well it would be really really nice if you included the name of the game that the song is from in the title stream.

When did the stream go live? I'm listening to it right now.
Blackwolf

The stream is up in alpha form. Basically we're just playing a bunch of game MP3's in straight order right now, just to test bandwidth and procedure and stuff.
We actually plan to implement the editing of the ID3 tags on each MP3 to include game and platform before we publically go live.
EDIT: In fact, I've just completed them.

what happened with scot last night?
First off, hats off to Scot and the rest of the AllGames staff!
I just had my first run-though of the main AllGames.com page and it's hella cool! I love the interface, it's really simple to navigate and everything it right there for you! +Rep for also having the Pixels link on the front page also (I still gotta buy some space).
I especially love the music (Blackwolf, that rocks!) and how FreePlay is set up right there without taking you to another page. A very professional look. The forums look kickass also.
Questions:
Will we be able to hear the show's All Games Interactive and The Bobby Blackwolf Show all right there on the main page of Allgames.com at their respective times? If so, this is the best website EVA!!
It'll be cool to get some (Industry) Guest articles written for the front page. Just interviews with say, Cliffy B for us to read right on the main page, or just the hottest News article at the moment post right on the main page to read, but I now GH33DA usually posts that stuff and there is a News section there. Just a thought.
All in all, good work guys!
Blackwolf

Thanks for the compliments!
Yes, the audio you hear on the main page IS our All Games Radio stream, which means that when we go live with AGI, my show, and other events such as the Game Audio Network Guild Awards, they will be played on that page. You can also have just the player by going to www.allgamesradio.com (http://www.allgamesradio.com).
Currently we schedule to air the UK News podcast that premieres before my show every day at 8PM GMT (3PM Eastern/Noon Pacific) and a classic GameTime! episode at 9PM Eastern/6PM Pacific. Scot also tends to dump other stuff on the stream at the same time.
I'm digging the Ticker also. Can I get my show on Stamp collecting on AGR ??
If you think you can do a show about stamp collecting let's hear it. I am all for new shows if they are good. Maybe have different hot girls lick stamps live on your show.
Seriously I have already gotten one inquiry about us carrying their show, I'd like as many good shows as possible so if you know any that you like, point them over here.
Haha. I was just kiddin' Scot....though you've put thoughts in my mind about the girls licking stamps, lol.
What I was trying to get at is that the shows on the station wouldn't HAVE to be about videogames or sports?

Hi guys, what time is the show tonight? I'm new but I've always listened to the show in the past, I always watched g4tv.com too until Scot left then it just went downhill from there. :( Can't wait for the show tonight! Also, I just downloaded Skype 2.0 but have no idea how to get into the live chat, any help would be appreciated. :)

I always get into the chat through The Bobby Blackwolf Show (http://www.allgames.com/podcast/) website. AllGameInteractive airs at 7:30 ET/4:30 PT each day(M-F)

To get into chat, please use chat.allgames.com (http://chat.allgames.com/) unless you know what you're doing with IRC. That's a JAVA applet that will dump you into the right room and everything. Just be sure to type /nick YourName (substituting "YourName" with your name, obviously) when you go in so we'll know who you are.
And yes, the plan is the same time that True gave, however I only expect it to be an hour. Haven't heard much more about it, and Scot hasn't been on AIM all day, which is a good thing since that means he's not home playing around on the computer. :>

Wow, everyday, that's awesome! Thanks for all the help guys. :D I like how Scot and Bobby actually post here, that's so awesome, so in with the community and don't act like they're better than everyone. Great stuff, looking forward to all the shows. :)
