Man, I had to read this for school, and I thought this was a brilliant satirical essay for reform.
Has anyone else (had)/read this? Funny as crap.
Basically, it was written in the 1600's. Ireland is under British Rule, and it's turning into a giant slum. In order to solve the crime rate, Swift proposes that the english start eating babies, as they've already "Devoured the Parents". Brilliant work. Look it up on the net, if you haven't read it. Worth its 15 minutes.
