What other types of podcasts would you like to hear on all games? Specifically would you like to have genre specific shows? More opinionated shows? Strictly news and updates? etc.
Just curious.
Post away.

it seems to me that everything is fine the way it is, however I like the idea of a help show, I'm not tech savy enough to do one of those shows though.

Here's what I'd like to see come out of the community:
A weekly radio drama.
Okay, for those who don't know what a radio drama is, it's probably before your time. Probably one of the more famous ones in geek circles is the original Orson Wells production of War of the Worlds. Go look it up.
Obviously, this would need some writers that can write good dialogue and flesh out a story. The voice talent would be from the Allgames community. You'd have a few stars and then people would join in with other characters.
How would this work? Here's a starting point. The entire radio drama takes place during an online game. Xbox Live, Teamspeak, whatever. Whoever's editing it should put in some ambient sounds from whatever game they're playing in that episode (WoW, BF2, CSS, PGR3, any game that can allow at least 8 players in a session.) However the show would revolve around the players and both their game life and their home life. People talking in the background, perhaps. Maybe have a kid tell his mother off for not giving him Hot Chocolate. It's up to you. And since it takes place in an online game, you can introduce characters as just "joining up in the game".
The reason I say Xbox Live or Teamspeak is because then it will be very easy to record the voices of the Allgames Community from a technical standpoint - just about everyone here has a cheap headset.
To do this right will actually take work and talent. Plan out a story arc for several episodes. Get a few people who are willing to be your "main characters". Stuff like that. Don't half-ass it. I merely provided the setting, not the content.
If you feel you can contribute and expand the above concept, PM me here or email me at blackwolf@allgames.com. Serious inquiries only about writing and audio production, not just "oh I want to play a certain character type..." We're not there yet.

That's interesting to say the least, Blackwolf.
I wanna see more stuff like the Fight Night Round 3 video with Scot vs Stonecoldfreak. That was pretty cool.

Honestly, I would like to see a show dedicated to Video Game Music. That's the basis of my podcast (if I ever decide to actually do it), and it would be cool to help bring that basis to the radio.

It's funny. For a few days there, Inner and I were thinking about doing a Podcast Sketch Comedy show thing. It never got off the ground, though.

Yeah, we never got back to each other on that one, not sure why. Was probably about to PM you, but then was like "OHHHHH, New distro of linux on distrowatch!" and then forgot about it

A "Colbert Report" For Gamers.
a Host (*points to me*) Reads Articles, Editorials, and Stastics on Video Games, And Uses Fake News, and "Interviews" to proove how wrong they are.
I was thinking of calling it "reset"
For The Simple Minded: The Bobby Blackwolf Show... WITH Bullshit.

A "Colbert Report" for gamers would be great. I'd love to help out on that.

Thanks M4d, keep in mind, it is supposed to be a parody of Everything Allgames has so far. Such as "The Winner of The Best Portable is THE GIZMONDO!" and "I am the only All Games Host who owns a Phantom, Take That To Your Grave Scot"
And Then An Interview with J. Allard and Steve Balmer. With The Host Just annoying the hell out of them talking about Sega, Apple, and Playstation Things.
And The Reviews will always be a one out of one.
Someone Call Scot, We Have A Hit.
