Scarface eh.......that's a pretty big movie to make a game after. Hopefully it will be just as, if not more, successful than "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" movie to game transition. I dunno, I'm kinda skeptical that this game won't turn out very good. Oh, and before I forget (I gotta do it since we're talkin' bout Scarface), "Say hello to my lil' friend!"

Correct if I'm wrong, BUT didn't Tony Montana DIE in the end of the movie?
In the article, readers will learn how developer Radical Games and publisher Vivendi plan to make Scarface a continuation of the movie, rather than a re-telling of the same story from the film, and how technical issues like vehicles and speech mix with the morality of developing a South Florida drug empire.
It does look like a GTA ripoff, but if it's done well..ah we'll just have to wait and see. I'll see about calling Vivendi to get someone to talk about it.

I'd only get it IF they had Pacino's classic Tony Montana voice!

Wasn't a lot of Vice City based on Scarface (especially the end). Are they planning on using sound clips from the original movie? It might be kinda cool to have Pacino in a video game.

i liked on the site what one guy said about the game:
"So in other words GTA-Scarface"

all i got to say is
HOO-HAH another mafia Game HOO-HAH! Wrong movie. :p
As for everyone saying it's a GTA ripoff, it's quite different in some areas.
There's a rage meter, like at the end of Scarface when he's pissed as fuck at everyone and taking bullets like nothing, that'd be like the rage meter at full.
Another thing is that you can't kill people on the street for no reason, Tony does have a conscience, "I ain't gonna kill 2 kids and a woman, fuck that!"
I think they took clips from the movie for the voices instead of getting Pacino to do it again, but I'm not sure.
There's one cool thing about it, there's 2 talk buttons, one's the nice Tony, and the other is the mean Tony. We can all expect what comes out of both. :p
I for one can't wait for this game, only because I loved the movie so much, but there's some really cool elements about it that are really innovative.

Heh, wonder what the replay value will be

Heh yeah the Cuban terminator. He sucked and was a cheater. Tony holds off basically a whole army with his little friend and that camping bitch shoots him in the back.
This game looks like it could be crappy though. As people have said before GTA:VC basically WAS Scarface especially at the end. I see no need for this game other than to make a quick buck.

Since it's Scarface related, I'm going to have no choice but to pick it up.

Even though I'm fully aware Vice City was a direct Scarface rip-off, this particular game looks like a bad rip-off of Vice City.

Well, how else would they make the game other than GTA style?

Scarface; The Platformer.
You move around collecting bags of cocaine. Use "your little friend" on low level punks & beat cops. Bosses can be The Chief of Police, The ATF Director, The FBI Director, etc.
Fun for the whole family. :smt082

Man, this is fucking rediculous. The screenshots tell the whole story. This game, judging from the screenshots, is going to be FUCKING HORRIBLE. How can you do this to Scarface? He died in the end like others mentioned - a "continuation" is impossible. If this is going to truly be Tony Montana then how the fuck does that work? If this character isn't going to be Tony Montana, then who the fuck gives a shit? I don't, and I won't buy this garbage.
