My friend's sister works at Blizzard. The most he could tell me is that, yes, they are working on it but there's no real set release date.

What if they aren't working on it, what if they never started.

There are videos of people playing the new build at some convention and talking about it. The multiplayer was apparently really really great, because thats what they were showing off. I wouldn't be surprised if they were working on next-gen versions or something now
