I've heard a terrible rumor that Brendan Fraiser (sp?) is going to be Superman....In other words, if this is true... I'm going to have to burn off my eyebrows.

They might be looking for an unknown, check this out;

Don't know how "real" this might be though.

That's an old rumor. I'm pretty sure it's dead. I don't know why you think that'd be such a terrible thing, though. Fraser can easily pull off both the nerd and hero personas. I think Fraser would be a great casting choice. He'd be much better than the other rumored possibilities. Remember when people were saying Ashton Kutcher? *shudder*
I'd be happy with an unknown, though. I'm pretty sure Singer has gone on record as wanting an unknown.

So? Being in a few bad movies does not make him a bad actor. The problem with those films was not Brendan Fraser.

Well, it's nice to see you have no valid criticisms of Fraser, nor any argument other than to harp on some movies he's done in the past, several of which were made for children.

I mean-- I thought it was funny. Superman riding a horse backwards. Do you laugh? Nevermind.

Superman-V.com, however, claims that the Man of Steel has indeed been cast. "Tom Welling has apparently verbally agreed to be Superman in the new movie but it appears that not all of the studio execs are behind the idea," the site reports. "A compromise has been reached. The recent casting calls are not only a legal obligation of the studio but to appease those who are against the idea and want to see if Singer can find anyone better. Tom Welling will likely be screentest against other hopefuls who will be selected from the casting calls."
Smallville continues in the big screens it would seem...

They should just bring back Christopher Reeve. Who cares if he's crippled: We can have the world's first handicapped superhero!
But then again, Brendan Fraser did ride a horse without getting thrown off...

I liked Monkeybone....., I think. Christopher Reeve is one of the best actors today, his performances on Smallville are simply mindblowing. I think Tom Welling should be Superman.
