Evil Dead/Ash is not about horror in the sense that Freddy and Jason are. He's clear camp. It'll turn into a duel of one-liners between Bruce Campbell and Robert Englund.

I'll be sorely disappointed if Sam Raimi agrees to let go of his property like this.

Jason vs. Freddy vs. Ash? That's the rumor floating around this pile of clutter we call the internet.

My advice, don't hold your breath. Chances are, we'll be seeing Joanie Loves Chachi Loves Ash first.

In other words, nothing to report on our end.
It may be from early June, but until Raimi/Campbell say anything to the positive, its safe to assume its not true.

More info, I consider Yahoo a bit more reliable, but like you said until Raimi or Campbell say anything it's still just in talks. Nothing is confirmed yet. While I would prefer a Evil Dead 4, the idea of Freddy v. Jason v. Ash sounds cool, especially if they can put together a good story & script.

Also at this point Freddy & Jason are pretty much camp horror, so Ash would fit right in.

I dig the series. I saw the original Evil Dead just last week for the first time in years. I totally forgot how gruesome it is... It's disgusting. I even have the Ash Movie Maniac figure from McFarlane. I'll definitely check this out, IF it comes to fruition.
