Now, I know the game isn't BRAND new, but I'm suprised that there hasn't been a thread made about it as of yet and this is a BOXING section...oh well...anyone else here play it and if so, what do ya think???

Yeah, it does take alot of getting used to, after I got over the poor movement and the new punch controls, the game wasn't that bad...I have yet to play it online though, and I'm guessing that's where the goodness starts.

Oh, that's cool...I'm not bustin' on you or anything, it's just that I didn't see a thread on this game and I thought it was pretty cool...it's the best boxing game I've played as a matter of fact, it's alot better than the old button mashing games.

Yeah, that game was cool...I loved that Evander Holifield boxing game for the Genesis...that game was the best...

I bought it near release. It was pretty good. I suck at it though. :(

Anyone want to fight on PS2 online?

my favorite boxing game was ready 2 rumble. i really dont know why though. :\Afro Thunder? Why the hell hasn't Midway made more Ready 2 Rumble games and an Afro Thunder game? I wasn't too impressed with Fight Night, the Ready 2 Rumble series and Punch-Out! are my favorite boxing games of all time.

Fight Night definitely took alot of getting used to in order to be pretty good...although I'm still having problems getting online to play...oh well.

Fight Night will be especially strong this upcoming year (2005)... their first year out is always a matter of trying out new things-- I think the Career Mode needs tweaking from last year, and XBOX Live will help, but overall the game had a good feel to it. A future franchise in the making? Most definitely. I thought the new Total Punch Control was very inventive, very intuitive, the graphics were top notch, and it had more depth than the average boxer.

Ready 2 Rumble was simply a fun, fun game, but Fight Night shined because it was a true simulation of the sport. Something we rarely see, or at least see done well. Even the old Punch Out was an Arcade Boxer. I'd like to see the new version of Fight Night take to heart that gamers like this game because it was trying something new, a real simulation, really delve into that with all sorts of new features. Really work on the training and career aspect of it, add more gameplay features-- ways of outsmarting your opponent rather than just button mashing.

As far as Ready 2 Rumble-- a new version should be made, I take that back, MUST be made. I would love a Xbox Next Ready 2 Rumble fully Online.
