they are pretty different. I actually like both in their own genres but if you said here are tickets to both pick one...i'd see green day, just cause I saw Beastie Boys License to Ill tour when Public Enemy opened for them, and that can't be topped.

I would LOVE to see a Beasties concert, I just recently started listening to them, but I have been a long-time fan of Green Day (I saw them when they Headlined Pop Disaster with Blink 182, awesome awesome show, they absolutely OWNED Blink)

Definitely Green Day. While GD may have wussed up a bit, the Beastie Boys have lost any edge that they had. Well, with their singles, at least. I haven't checked out the rest of their newer albums.
