Saturday night 9:30 eastern will be a replay of Hopkins Tarver and a live broadcast of Taylor vs Wright.

They had the Winky Wright Jermaine Taylor fight live last night. Very cool to see these guys after only getting beaten by them in the game.

Winky was astounding me with his resolve to keep taking punishment but countering with some serious flurries.

The headbutt in the 8th or 9th round caused a cartoonish ball to form around taylors eye making it impossible to see out of it in the final two rounds.

But in the 12th, when it appeared as though Wright might actually win the fight, he laid off. He kinda hung around and possibly avoided getting knocked out, but also avoided a possible decisive victory.

The decision was a draw and Winky left the ring in protest as he clearly felt he outboxed Taylor. Jermaine definitely clocked Wright in hard punches, it was a draw from my view since Winky basically laid off the last round.

The funny thing for me was Winky, winking at people during and after the rounds. I guess that's where he gets the name from??
However the wink disappeared in the final few rounds as he was clearly taking a pounding.

Good fight, unexpectedly fun to watch.
