I think everyone may have noticed this, but Luigi as a character and game icom is and has been growing.
Luigi's Mansion wasn't his first time solo (Anyone remember "Mario Is Missing"), but is was his first succesfull one. (Hell, it was the first well known Mario Bros. game, WITHOUT the word "Mario" in the title)
Heck, the game even showed off his timid and clean personality when you used the GameBoy Horror to scan things, as an opposite to Mario's bravery and boldness.
Another good example was Mario & Luigi: SuperStar Saga (Even though Nintendo did an excellent job of making fun of him), Luigi played just an important character as Mario.
Maybe someday Luigi could be able to start to sell his own games, maybe as a filler until Mario 128, or as another serious solo game like Luigi's Mansion.
Luigi is slowly, but surely growing out of his brother's shadow and immersing into his own character, and I find it interesting.
Good luck, o' green one.
