It's an Xbox travelling game festival. Check the schedule to see if it's coming near you. It's coming to my hometown for a whole week.

Well I went to gameriot yesterday. I was a little dissapointed. Basically it was a small tent with some tv's and xboxs and PC's set up. Oh and there was a lady giving out free 2 ounce cups of Mountain Dew (all flavors). It was $5 for one hour or $15 to play the games all day. I paid the $5.
For the PC they had: America's Army, Battlefield Vietnam, Doom 3, Far Cry, Harry Potter, Painkiller, Tiger Woods 2004, and TOCA 2.
For Xbox they had: Star Wars Battlefront, Riddick, ESPN MLB, ESPN NFL, ESPN NHL, Forza Motorsport, Halo, Jade Empire, Kameo, Mech Assault 2, Men of Valor, PGR 2, Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow, Rallisport 2, Red Ninja, Shrek 2, Soul Caliber 2, Spiderman 2, and Tony Hawks Underground.
Games they were supposed to have but didn't: Sid Meier's Pirates (PC), UT2K4 (PC), Conker Live and Reloaded (XBOX), Leisure Suit Larry (XBOX), and Sudeki (XBOX).
I did get to play a coulpe unreleased games though while there. Here's my thoughts.
Starwars Battlefront: This was the big game in the tent. They had 4 Xboxs hooked up to 4 widescreen LCD tv's. I played the Hoth level from Empire, I think an Endor level (all I know is there were crazy amounts of Wookies and it was in the jungle). It's basically your standard FPS on a console, controls were fine, and the graphics were sweet. I couldn't hear because they were blasting techno music the whole time but Im' sure all the classic SW sounds are there.
Jade Empire: I've been looking forward to this game for a little bit now, and it was the first game I played. I had some difficulty with the controls though. I couldn't find a jump button (not sure if there is one), and when I would try and attack someone it seemed like I was never close enough and I would constantly punch the air. I'm still gonna check it out when it's released, hopefully the rental comes with the manual.
Kameo: Elements of Power: This was by far the most fun game there (edges out SW because i'm not a FPS fan on consoles). If you've never heard of it check out the site here (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/kameo/). The switching between elements to fight opponents and solve puzzles was quite enjoyable. you can switch to a fairy who can fly and does a cool slow motion backflip attack, an armadilo looking creature who rolls into a ball, a giant snow monster (slow but powerful) and a plant who wears boxing gloves punches his opponents. Each element has 3 actions the L trigger, R trigger, and L+R trigger move. The actions could become repetitive after a while, but it's still a lot of fun.
If you have any questions about the games or stuff I didn't mention PM me or post the questions here.
