For those interested in being surprised by the final release, skip.






o Redone Jabba. Thank you! I am so glad they decided to fix this. The color pallette they used for his skin was simply awful in the first retouch. I am very glad to see this marked improvement. Unfortuantely, its still a bit different (and much more splotchy) than the RotJ version.

Now if only they'd redub the Huttese dialogue to sound more like the original voice from RotJ.

o Changing written indicators from Basic (English) to Aurebesh. Very nice touch.

A lot of the changes are very cosmetic, but particularly those of TESB and RotJ seem to be the changes that they apparently never had time for the first time around.

Visually, its great. We'll see about any audio changes. Though I'm surprised they didn't post the changes made to Palpatine using Ian McDiarmid from TESB.

Also, the comic they posted is hilarious. Back, and to the left.

They fixed a lot of good stuff, but it seems like they're still half assing it. This is definitely not the final version. Lucas will suck another 50 out of all of us in 3 years with his ULTIMATE DVD BOX SET OF THE WHOLE SAGA. They fixed crap like taking Anakin's eyebrows off, but left in that weird black sluggy thing on the Emperor?

I think the only thing that will get me to buy yet a new version after this one is if they included all of the Making Of ... features.

Hell, they don't even need to fix them up. Just transfer them onto DVD for me.

I'm glad that they are getting cleaned up again for the DVD release but I am annoyed at the changes to the movies (not all but some)...and the new end of Return of the Jedi pisses me off to no end.

Personally, I don't care what the features are going to be in DVD box set, I'm a huge fan so I'm going to buy it anyways.

All I care about is being able to own the films in letterbox. I was never able to get the widescreen versions of movies as most of the time I was too young to care or too poor.

I'm sorry, where did you see anything about a new ending?

didn't they replace the ghost of darth vader and obi wan with the actors from episodes 1-3? I thought I saw a screen shot somewhere, could have been fake though.

Just Anakin. Instead of being Sebastian Shaw, they allegedly used Hayden Christiensen with some girly-ass long hair and stupid smile. He only looked like he was in his mid 20s, and not the old man Anakin/Vader was when he died.

I never found a clear response that it was, in fact, real.

It's probably not real, I seriously doubt that they would change the ending like that.
