Rumor has it that the greatest Jedi master the galaxy has ever known will in fact FART in the final installment of the Star Wars saga. Yes, Yoda will break wind. According to sources close to the production, when the clone troopers are ordered by the newly declared Emperor to eliminate the Jedi order, they go on a mission to destroy Yoda. Upon being tracked down, Yoda acts silly and spreads mud on his face, and even farts in order to fool the clone troopers into thinking he's some simpleton creature, not the great Jedi Master they were sent to destroy. His behavior is said to be on par with the way he was when Luke found him in Episode V, which makes sense and ties the movies together. But farting? Is this bullshit? Probably. After all N'Sync was supposed to appear in Episode 2 weren't they? And thanks to HBO, I've seen that movie at least 187 times, and not once have I ever spotted JC Chavez. Thoughts?

I think it would be fitting.
The most powerful Jedi Master ... reduced to playing fart jokes to survive. Really a sort of commentary on the whole of the Jedi Order, don't you think?
I'd only say its going too far if they introduce a puff of smoke from behind him when he does.
Scratch that. I'll be fucking rolling!

Heh well I suppose sometime between Episode 2 and Episode 4 Yoda ends up losing his mind. I don't know whether he had a nervous break down becase of the rise of the Empire and Palpatine/Vader, or just because of old age. I mean he is nearly, or over, 900 something years old by the time he dies. I think it would kind of fit though since he seemed to be nearly insane in The Empire Strikes back.

Sure, it makes for a humorous moment...but one would think he could just do a Jedi mind trick on them and send them on their way.
I'll have to see how the scene plays out before I groan about it.

Yeah I agree. Watch how Yoda behaves in Episode V.. He's crawling around and throwing stuff like a moron. In the prequels he's always dead serious. It's his cover. He acted dumb to Luke to trick him the same way he will to these clones, if the rumor pans out.

I agree but it does make perfect sense and helps ties the two trilogys together. I would think doing the Jedi mind trick might exhaust him and if he slips and forgets someone, he'd leave himself open to attack. Maybe he does a combination of both?....
Zell had a good questions, anyone know how Ben gets away???

You can find all sorts of spoilers that pretty much has the entire plot outlinned on this one site.
Not too fun knowing waht happends before though. I like suprsises, but Yoda farting? I don't think that'd be a good idea.

Thats a great point, if all clone troopers are the same and Ben Kenobi used a mind trick on the squad in Mos Espa, surely Yoda could have used it on some as well.
I also agree it would be a way to tie how Yoda went bonkers, but farting? That just migh be going a little too far. I mean do we need a Force Fart?

An allusion to King Lear perhaps...
