Co-worker actually picked it up for me when he got his copy, the book store only had two and i think the aren't supposed to come out till tomarrow?

Anyways, it's an early X-mas gift for me. I'm finishing up the first noval then moving on to "First Strike".

I just read an excerpt from the latest oxm mag and I'm definitely gonna pick this one up. I've read the other 3, and only the ones by eric were good imo.

It's weird because after reading the books, Halo 2 was a bit of a letdown on the story side so I'm actually looking forward to this boom more than I am Halo 3 as far as the story progression is concerned. Gameplay, well, that's a different story.

BTW, I'm super sad that it looks like the new halo movie is on some super ice. An update the other day mentioned that nobody is picking the movie back up. C'mon gates!

Last I heard Microsoft was just gonna foot the bill themselves. They really don't need the support of a major studio.

I think the main part of studio support would have been like, cameras, all those weird workers with crazy names like gaffers and such, studio connections blah blah blah

I read the Fall of Reach and I loved it. I'll probably pick up the rest of the books eventually.

Im suprised how much they revealed in this book. Most of them didnt reveal this much.
This book wasent the best. The Flood was definitly better

I can't believe how old this thread is... Anyway, I bought all three books this weekend. I'm planning to jump on them as soon as I finish Harry Potter 7.
I read a except and they sound really technical.

Everyone tells me the Flood was the worst of them, I skipped the second book and was thinking about picking it up yesterday but got too lazy to go and get it.

Yeah I missed hearing about Master Chief.

Sure we miss them, but then we kind of know enough about him...besides, for all we know, Halo 3 probably takes place immediately after the cliff hanger.

It still would be sweet if the survivors inside Onyx be able to somehow get back on Earth in the game.
