You know, for all the crap Nintendo takes...it's tough to argue that their consoles and handhelds aren't some of the most sturdy, well-designed pieces of kit out there.

I remember an old EGM story from years ago about a guy who lived up north who dropped his Gameboy while walking in heavy snow and losing it in the powder. A couple of months later, after it passed and warmed up a bit, he found it, let it dry a bit, popped a cart in and...voila!...the Gameboy worked perfect, with the exception of some moisture trapped inside the screen.

There seems to be a direct correlation between these companies manufacturing track records and the state of their current consoles.

Lets review.

Sony ships DOA PS3s and shitty laptop batteries.

Microsoft ships buggy 360s and operating systems.

Nintendo ships sturdy dependable systems and.. uh.. sturdy dependable systems.
