I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested but, EA is looking for a game tester in the L.A. area. (http://jobs.ea.com/pljb/ElectronicArts/United_States/applicant/jobClick.jsp?count=1&id=4176)

Why was it, when I read "test games" and "EA" the first thing that came to my mind was getting whipped in the back?

It's not just full time - it's overtime. And they don't pay the overtime.
Game Testing is probably unique in that:
Everyone who does not work in the game industry thinks it's the best job ever
Everyone who DOES work in the game industry thinks it's the worst job ever
I wouldn't wish a game testing job on anyone.

I've done it before. It's a really, really, weak job.

Ditto. I can only image how much worse it is at EA.

Sure, the job most likely does suck. But if it weren't for testers we would be seeing many more crappy games.
Three cheers for the tester. They help prevent total shit from clogging up our consoles and PCs.

Sadly, there is still total shit clogging our consoles and PC's. Have you played Sonic The Hedgehog for the 360 or PS3?

I want to try it out once... and then lie like hell about game problems. Tell them there's a glitch somewhere and have them waste hours of time trying to figure out what the fk im talking about

There's a flaw there dom in the fact that most devlopers aren't idiots. They don't have to fix what they think no one else will see.
