Yeah im a n00b

Just a quick question.......ok so I want to hook up my xbox for online play....
1. I purchase the $70 starter kit with mic and 1 year subscription.
2. I purchase a router.
Im not going to do the wireless cuz wireless is a pos...so do I need anything else besides the following....
1. XBOX live subscription
2. Router
3 Ethernet Cable
-Yes I have broadband......

Make sure the ethernet cable is straight and not crossed. Other than that you're fine.

after I beat tales of symphonia for my game cube.....ima do the xbox live thing.......I only have plans to do it for EPSN Football 2005 and Halo 2!
Everyone is going to get thoses games so...with that being said.......LOL Id be playing with everyone!

An Ethernet cable consists of 2 parts, a Category 5 cable (Cat 5) and an RJ45 connector at each end. RJ45 is referring to the plugs on each end.
I just seen at my job yesterday (BestBuy) that we now carry the wireless (XBOX) adaptor AND the new Xbox wireless controller. I may think about getting the controller, Linksys has a wireless adaptor that is a bit cheaper (in cost) to the Xbox one, and it's been out longer.
