It started a couple months ago... Usually I would just put it on the charger and instantly it would charge. Then, I would have to do it once or twice, then it would work. Since about last month It would take a long time just trying to put it in just right for it to charge, and right now I spent about 20 minutes trying every which way and when I put in in the base charger the light just never goes on and it doesn't charge... Anybody know what I can do? I havn't dropped it, messed with it, spilled anything on it or anything... I don't know if these have a guarantee or what... has this happened to you?

maybe Change the recharageable batterys, they may have died (they only recharge for so long before they die, they don't last forever)

Naw, I'm having trouble having it set right as well.

Make sure the charge contacts are clean (on both that charger and mouse)...even the lightest coating of dirt on the leads can interfere with the connection. What i usually do is i set it in the charger and just jiggle the charger a few times till i see the green light come on then gently set the charger back on the table.

I don't think it's the batteries, because When i set it right it does charge...

Maybe I should clean them... Is there something I need like rubbing alcohol or will just plain old water on a qtip work? I don't want to mess anything up

I just use a dry paper towel/tissue or even the nubs of my fingernails for the mouse itself.
For the charger just a papertowel/tissue. I've never used liquid to clean charging surfaces. But that's just me.

I wouldn't recommend using any cleanser on it. If there's any dirt on there that you can't just rub off, I'd use a dry q-tip.
