I voted for Call of Duty 4 because it is the most enjoyable game of the year out of the non-exclusive titles. It has great multi-player and a very fun, thought short, single-player experience. I would also like to say that I think that the Orange Box is the best overall game and deal...but Half-Life 2 is an old game and I already had the privilege of playing it when it originally came out...and Portal is fantastic, but I found TF2 disappointing...

Orange Box is great but the ps3 version doesn't run as well and the 360 version of TF2 was terrible.

no fugly ps3 version, totally on par with xbox 360 version.
the cod4 devs totally showed everyone that it can be done, no lame excuses.
great single player, great multiplayer, its edges the orange box due to valve's lameness.
if cod4 team can do it great on ps3, why cant others?
EA is so lame, porting crappy versions of games over other console/computer, NBA live08 PC for example should be sued for false advertisement. NBA Live 08 PC is a fake game, stay away from it, buyer's beware.

It amazing that even with these games being on a crappy system like the 360, they are still good games. I guess since the 360 is using about 90% of its processing power it should be able to do something right.

Call of Duty 4, mainly because it's really the only game that works well on PS3 and 360. GH 3 would be 2nd for me. Orange Box and Madden had framerate issues on the rushed PS3 version so I automatically removed them. GR2 is good but not worthy of these other titles.

Call of Duty 4 made me love FPS's again. The last two FPS's that I loved were Perfect Dark (N64) and 007 Goldeneye (N64). Thanks Infinity Ward.

I picked Call of Duty 4. The only flaw in the game is the annoying spawn rooms. Other than that, Infinity Ward has damn near perfected the war shooter genre.

I know awards are hard haven't not been read yet and I voted for a game already other than this one but Uncharted Drake's Fortune should be game of the year. I was blown away by the story and cinematics! This game had it all from game play to story to game mechanics. You got to drive different vehicles in ways I hadn't experienced in a game before and I thought the voice acting was superb! That game made my switch to PS3 that much better! My previous vote was orange box which was still a stellar game but this game felt as though I were playing in a high budget hollywood film. If you have a PS3 please go play this!

UNcharted is fantastic,but it's not quite game of the year. I have played all of the big hitters except for Halo 3 and BioShock and my personal vote goes to Super Mario Galaxy.

Bioshock was fun but not that great of a game. It wasn't as revolutionary as everyone made it out to be. I also had fun with super mario galaxy but I played for a few hours and it lost my interest. Yes, Uncharted gets my vote, really.

I really liked Uncharted. The story was great and the cinematics were fantastic, but the gameplay really ruined the experience for me...I give it 4 sausages out of 5!
