Don't think you can put a harddrive in that, but the Ethernet port is already built in.

Sony will make the mistake AGAIN? they came out way to early with the PS2 and now its technology is overrun by the xbox. PS2 has no harddrive and it has no good graphics. It used to be good...but the thing about coming out first is the second system has more time and will have better technology, doesnt hurt xbox that bill gates can supply them with 500 billion dollars

The thing I really don't understand is why reinvent the damned thing to begin with??? Go for the kill and drop the price waaaaaay down of the original and crash your resources on the PS3/replacement console and cut the development time. Very few of the current PS2 owners will swap. Those who are planning on getting a PS2 will get one even if Sony didn't come out with the new version. I believe that a few of those people who'll buy a PS2, will get one solely because of the new look. Sony's been making some damn fool moves IMO. Their iPod killer uses Sony proprietary encoding, their attempts ast making their memory stick an industry standard has failed and yet they continue peddling that crap, and now rather than develop a new and better console, they just redo the package.

I'm curious as to how and what they'll do with the PSP.

I personally don't like Sony as a company...I only own 1 product by them...That is the PS2 (Since I can play PS1 games on it).

the one thing sony did right was the PS1. PS2 had a good launch, but have you seen all the crap on it? for one final fantasy, there's 50 (insert anime title here) games. I really think the slim ps2 is a waste, i mean, you cant play Final Fantasy XI online on that one, since there's no room for the Hard Drive! what were they thinking?

Considering it's the same price as the PS2 now, with the network adapter built in ($40 value), and it's slimmer, light-weight, I think it's a pretty damn good deal.
