Nintendo DS: $149 on November 21
I think this (price) is a bit too steep for me.
$149? I think I'd rather buy a Gamecube and Animal Crossing. :P But damn, Right in time for Christmas, I need to buy stuff for my PC, games for PS2 (Killzone, GT4, MGS3, etc.) So it looks like I'm not getting it.

To steep? You're kidding, right? Considering the whole deal is the DS system, PictoChat imbedded into the system and a demo for Metroid: Hunters..how can you call that steep?
That's more than reasonable, especially considering when the GBA was released, it came out at around the same price with no extra bonuses.

Or a PS2 or an...did X-Box go down to 150?
Doesn't matter. This price is more than justifiable considering all the stuff inside and out. I still don't see how it's "steep."

i might just get it for the hell of it. At least it can play all the old GBA games i already have, but then i would be wasting a screen.

It's not backwards compatible I think.
Sucks for you. ;)

It can play GBA games, but it can't play GBC or GB games, and it can't do any multi-player link-up for any GB(C)(A) games (LTTP4Swords, Fire Emblem, etc.)

The DS can also play multiplayer games wirelessly with only one game card. Also known as wireless multi-boot. In case my first sentence wasn't descriptive enough, basically if you have a few friends around you and they want to play Mario Kart DS but they don't have the game, you can take out your copy of the game, slap it into the DS and all of you can enjoy some multiplayer madness.

I'll get a DS when a game I really want comes out for it. I'm just going to get a new drum machine for Xmas.
