My vote goes to Peter Moore and Microsoft. From a personal standpoint I got to talk with and interview Peter Moore at E3. Then a few days later it was announced he was going to EA and it really took me by surprise.

Did you come up with this all on your own, OP?
If so, color me impressed...probably the best atypical category in this forum.

I'd definitely have to go with Gerstmann and Gamespot, if only because there are so many unanswered questions that will, in all likelihood, never be answered. And then there's also that whole "integrity of gaming journalism" she-bang.

I don't see how anybody could give a shit about Gerstmann, he did something he wasn't supposed to as per his company rules and/or policies and he did it anyway. Then, he's gone. Big deal. I hated his video reviews anyway, he made me sick.

Peter Moore going to EA was surprising at the time, especially since the 3 year extended warranty has just been announced and e3 had just ended.
I voted for Bungie and Microsoft, not because it's earth-shattering or necessarily will change much about their relationship, but I'm interested to see where Bungie goes from here as far as making new IP.

Peter Moore's "ninja-esque" decision to go from Microsoft = EA was quite a deal breaker. One of those moments, no one saw coming.

The man with the tattoo plan Peter Moore, because that one just came of out left field.

I say the gamespot one because it's the most controversial and, as said in a previous comment, there are lots of things that may never get answered about it.

Gerstmann wasn't the best reviewer, and not a great writer (one of his last reviews had the phrase "really great" like a dozen times), but he and all other reviewers should be able to trash a game without being fired.
