When allgames is down I wait in my closet shaking and weeping until the stream is up and running. As someone we all love said, "best gaming podcast on the internettttttttttttt". But if I did vote I would have to say QJ.net is where I spend most of my time for the PSP news that they cover.

gmachina.com (mad props to mr. elusive) directs me to all the gaming shit out there that interests me at any given time, otherwise i regularly visit Gametrailers. and so far, their awards are turning out to the best on the net. Very fair and balanced stuff.

http://www.arstechnica.com for great writing.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com for Yahtzee's reviews (best reviews on the inter webs!)

http://www.2old2play.com for good community forums.

Truth be told I go to the above sites for reading (allgames isn't a very good place to read content in my opinion) and nothing compares to allgames for podcasts / radio (except Yahtzee's audio reviews).

1up is the best general gaming site, and it has incredible podcasts. The others serve more specific purposes or sold out to the man (Gamespot).

Out of those, I'd probably choose GAF...as much as it pains me to admit. ;) You have to wade through a ton of shit sometimes, but there are literally tons of discussions to get involved with and enough posting by peeps working in the industry that I continue to search for the proverbial needle in the haystack.

I know you have to keep this to a decent number of choices, but I frequent both BluesNews and ShackNews as well. Both of those sites have been around forever. Also, if you're a big technofile and you've never checked in on Clive Thompson's blog, Collision Detection, you owe it to yourself to do so. Speaking of blogs, N'Gai Croal's Level Up blog over at Newsweek is usually a pretty good read. And finally, I have to check in on GamePolitics at least once a day to see what new, crappy, anti-gaming legislation is popping up across the nation.

1up has great content and the features of that site are pretty damned awesome, but sweet jebus, it is sssssssssloooooooooow.

Ack change my vote to Gamasutra if possible. Always excellent content and interviews.

I voted for Joystiq out of what was up there just because it's good for quick headlines which is mostly what I care about if I go anywhere else.

Arstechnica is fantastic but I actually read it more for all the other stuff they cover besides gaming.

And heck, even I was skeptical at first to be honest, but GayGamer.net is fabulous. No really it is.

I will change your vote. Maybe we should have a best gaming blog category for the ngai's and gamepolitics types. Single person commentating etc.

I'd spend a hell of a lot more time on 1up if the screen wasn't dominated by giant ads coupled with the embedded ads that pop up when you scroll over a word in an article that is "ad-worthy." Some good minds over there, great podcasts, but obviously a corporate-driven site-mentality.

actually from what i hear theyre on the brink of dying, so i think they're aching for whatever money they can get to put them back in the green.

i could be wrong though, but considering how handsome i am, i doubt it.

1UP is fine (the site is actually making money). It's the magazine side that's in trouble.

I'd say gamespot.

Oh and you know what I just thought about? Why does allgames not have a news section like other sites? Soon it will have a reviews section which is cool, but I think the reason a lot of people dont visit allgames is because there isnt much here besides the podcasts.

I say 1Up, There 1Up Show is well produced, The guys on that show always speak very candidly about the new games when they play it for the first time, So its great hearing there opinions about it, For example there most reason special about Street Fighter 4.

Put an option up for "There are no others. AG being down brings only tears, not other game sites"

NeoGAF. It's pretty much the only place I get my gaming-related news now.

1up is the best gaming website whether this website is up or down. Of course I like AGI alot but this website and the other podcasts aren't that great. This is barely a gaming website you can't read news, previews, reviews, or even watch videos. If I want to talk on forums I'll go to Gametrailers since there alot more people there. I think 1up Yours and GFW podcasts are the best gaming podcasts including AGI.

Probably IGN since that's were I usually get my gaming info from, then Gametrailers and GameAreFun.com. I visit each site a number of times a day.
