I'm looking at purchasing the Sony PR-505 and was wondering if anyone has it or the Amazon Kindle. Thanks.

My wife is the fastest reader I have ever met. She can go through a 700 page book in just a few evenings, so I've read up on both of those quite a bit.
They both use the same screen, so the visibility is the same. The biggest difference is the Sony is a silver (or grayish/blue), can display .pdfs, and can't download a book without a computer. The Amazon kindle is white, has a qwerty keyboard, can't display .pdfs, has a built-in EvDO modem that can download books without having to use a computer. The EvDo service is completely free, but you do have to pay for the book (of course). The Kindle also has a text web browser.
Oh yeah, the Kindle is $100 dollars more than the Sony. Personally I like the Kindle over the Sony, but I think both are overpriced, so I haven't bought one yet.
