A coworker of mine plays on Partypoker a lot and actually won a trip to Aruba this weekend to compete in the World Poker Tour. The final table is even being filmed for Travel Channel.

He's probably made about $20,000 total on Partypoker in the past 2 years.

What kind of players do they have on Party Poker? I'm thinking of getting into the online scene, and I'm not sure which site to try.

Ive been getting together with a few other actor friends of mine and we play some poker on Sunday Night. The stakes arn't that high, max bet is like five bucks-- but its fun nonetheless.

I'd play in a play money table.

Does PartyPoker let you create private tables?

If you've been losing over at Party poker, search bit torrent for Texas Calculatem. It watches every hand you play and gives you the % winning based on your hole cards and then the flop. It's worked VERY WELL for me. IT ELIMINATES almost all chasing of the flop, I have folded on cards I normally would play and 98% of the time it's saving me from throwing more money into a pot I wont win. The FEW TIMES I went against it, I lost more than I won.

I do not like using the calculator things, I go with my gut. Just watch players betting patterns. Most people with a lot of chips would just make a small bet, or check with a large pocket pair Pre-folp, or a set post flop and let the other players do the betting for them. Stuff like that. Most poker programs like Party poker let you put notes on players. I have been playing a lot of PL Omaha Hi-Lo, of late. Now that's a good game.

Scot are you playing the real money games with that thing? I would think that'd be considered cheating.. wonder what happens if you get caught..?

That's not cheating. It doesn't change what the cards are going to be. It's more of an aid. I don't find it to help me at all, in my head I know what the pot odds are, and I don't need Texas Calculatem telling me what to do.

its mostly for determining if you should stay in with your hole cards. Not cheating, more like having one of the books with you and knowing the % of winning based on your two cards and then the flop.

My boyz and I have been playing poker since high school (even IN high school sometimes!). We're happy to see poker finally coming into its own with the WPT and WCP shows, but it's getting ridiculous, too.

Anyways, no I haven't played Party Poker. Can you give us you impression, AGN? I'm thinking of picking up a new poker game just for shizz and giggles when my friends arent around.

Oh, and has anyone else seen the commercial for this PokerStars.com site? I was dying with laughter, the commercial's production quality was sooo low. Hahahahaha!

Good gaming,

~ LordShen

I'm hoping that I'll have money again so I can start playing in the football off season. I can't play fake money games, if you do sit and go, 5 or the 10 players playing go all in on the 1st fucking hand.
