Ok so I checked out this new show on USA tonight called the 4400 and it was pretty good. Kinda that creepy sci-fi Stephen King vibe. It just wrapped up now at 11:00 but will rerun again tonight at 12:00. Looks like it'll be a series or a mini series. If you can check it out or tape it, to see if it's up you guys alley.

I just watched it and it was pretty good. I agree with the Stephen King vibe. It also kind of reminds me of X-men. I don't wanna say anything else and spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I found it surprisingly watchable. I also saw the X-Men parallel, but I will at least check out the 2nd episode next week.

I didn't realize the X-men parallel untill you mentioned it. :shock: Also will this be a series or is it just a mini movie? I was thinking it was a mini-series/movies cause it looked pretty high quality, especially for a cable series (although USA has been suprising with their series the last few years).

I think it's a great show and the story is very interesting. I can't believe it's only a 5 part mini though. Where did you hear that? If the rest of the shows are just 1 hour long, how are they going to resolve everything? Maybe it's a teaser to see how the ratings will fair and eventually they'll make it into a regular series.

Yeah, I read that if the ratings are good, they'll make it into a series. Actually, it was only to be a 2 hour movie, but they liked what they read and asked for the 6 hour format. Considering there are "4400" stories available to them, it should be easy for the writers to come up with enough for a series. Pretty smart on their part coming up with that.

While I thought it was an all right episode, the show is already starting to wear out for me. It's turning into Freak of the Week and not really developing existing plotlines (the little girl and the pregnant woman).

Yeah I sorta saw that as well. I'm hoping it was more of a stumble than anything. I'm interested in seeing what the kid will tell everyone he did to his cousin next episode. I also think the pregnant girl's story will get good here in the next ep. The only one I totally hate is the little girl, how about someone tell her nicely that they shouldn't tell people their fututre as that would make her "normal". Kinda like how a parent says "Don't stare it's not polite".

I agree that the "freak of the week" thing is kinda lame. They should definately develop more of the story line and the big picture. Especially if it's only going to be 6 episodes. If they do get picked up and become a regular series, the "freak of the week" aspect wouldn't be so bad if they did it maybe once a month or something...

Anybody still watching this? I saw the show last night but they didn't show a preview of nexts weeks episode. Is it over now? If nobody saw it last night, I won't give it away but it does have a pretty interesting twist (that has never been done on TV but it has been done in movies and more in print media).

Last nights was the last one. They left it open ended though, so I'm thinking it may get optioned for another mini series, or maybe a full season. I was little dissapointed with the way it ended.

Yeah last nights was ok...It's a shame it didn't live up to how it started in the first 2 eps but overall it was ok.

I watched it for the first time... I didn't know wtf was going on.
