Seeing as this is the most up to date version, I think Apulo should take advantage of it...as long as it doesn't cost more to him.

First off is the Arcade system. This allows users to play Arcade games, and record their scores and compete. This is generally flash based, and are some old arcade favorites. From Pacman to Spy Hunter to Frogger to user created games.

Now this should be availble to Apulo through vbulletin's official site.

Next is the user created forums.

Users themselves can create their own forums and customize it however they see fit. This includes images for banners, icons, color set and more.

Don't worry, admins have total control over what is created and deleted at will if it is against forum rules or policies.

The second part of this is that the user can custimize their own style (schemes) for the forums, but I believe they must be uploaded by an admin for approval.

Although the user created forums do not need admin acceptance unless the admin places it on the feature.

This may or may not cost, it all depends.

EDIT: Quick update. The arcade is called "V3 Arcade". It is primarily hosted by eovieinteractive.

You can also challenge other members at the games as well.

Bandwith issues? As long as Apulo has around 50 gigs worth of bandwidth transfers each month then he is fine

More than just classic, their are some other "clever" and unique games made by people.

Sounds awesome, I was thinking of that the other day... Didn't know it had the features though...

I also like the schemes, this light blue is fine but it's a bit boring.

I would love an arcade here.
We have an arcade at another forum I go to and the competition is the best part of going there.

Agreed Insertname, its fun stuff. Get Tetris for sure, I'd like to get my highscore well over a million. So it would be basically unbeatable by all. ;-)

Last I heard, Apulo downloaded the arcade, however the bandwidth requirements on the site are apparently astronomical, and Scot hasn't decided if he's willing to pay for all the extra bandwidth the arcade would use.

From someone that has no idea how much websites cost... How much more would it be? And how much is it w/o it..?

I think some of us could chip in and support it.

so what's the verdict?

Figure that every time someone loads up a game in the arcade, its a minimum of 500KB-1MB being transfered. Figure in the number of people here that would play and the number of attempts they'd use, and it starts to add up.

We have arcades for Invision at Useless Entertainment and Lauren actually had to restrict playing it to people that post frequently because the bandwidth was being sapped -- and that's a website with about 25 regular users.

Ouch......... Ehhh...... I don't think the arcade thing is going to happen :P
