BTW it's pretty pathetic that CBC won't be airing any AHL games in place of Hockey Night in Canada. I thought you guys were the ultimate hockey lovers? :roll:

Sweet the Falcons won their first season opener in 9 years apparently. 4-3 over the Providence Bruins. Adam Henrich with a pair of goals.

I loved the IHL Detroit Vipers, back in the day. I when to a game were Vipers' Sergei Samsonov (Now of the NHL's Boston Bruins) Scored 4 goals in a 5-3 win, I believe. Also, Gordie Howe in 1997-98 played one game with the Detroit Vipers.

The Vipers were a great team until they got stuck with the Lightning as an affiliate at a time when we didn't have many good prospects, LOL. Sorry about that guys..

The Falcons have been atrocious ever since opening night (3-9-1-1). Too many players that are new to the pros I suppose. I thought we had enough vets to balance it out though. Hope they put it together eventually. The problem is they're not playing our system consistently enough. You have to work your ass off 60 mins straight to win at our style of play. No sitting back.

Speaking of IHL I sort of miss the Orlando Solar Bears even though they were never a Bolts affiliate. I thought the name was pretty clever.
