I saw some commercials about this today. Anyone gonna check it out? I like Dennis Leary, and the show looks decent.

I'll try to catch it, I think it's gonna be pretty good. I liked the last series Dennis Leary was in on ABC where he was a cop. FX has been putting out some pretty good series, I hope it does good.

This does look pretty good. FX has been on a roll with its own shows lately. The Shield rules while Nip/Tuck is getting some pretty good reviews from critics. Hopefully Dennis Leary can keep a job this time with the show. Anyone remember The Job on ABC a few years ago. It got cancelled after four episodes and Leary went on a rampage with talk shows criticizing ABC for lack of faith and just plain being jerks. But this show looks promising, hope to check it out.

Yeah, I remember 'The Job'. I remember it being ABC's best non-sitcom show in a long ass time, too. As for Rescue Me--it isn't 'The Job'. It's 100x better. If any of you get the chance to check it out, I strongly suggest you do so.

Although I thought it was a VERY good episode...if you're seeing and talking to dead people you're pretty much around the bend! But I'll keep watching, because any show that ends an episode the way that one did is worth watching!

Well I finally got around to watching the first 2 episodes I TiVo'd. This show kicks ass. Dennis Leary is great. If you havn't watched it yet check it out. It's nice watching a cable show where they're not affraid to use words like shit, pussy, and blow job. Not that using words like that makes the show good, but it feels more real than some one saying "that's bull crap" when they're yelling at someone. And it's funny too.

I have seena few episodes after deciding to check it out one time since it was on right after Nip/Tuck, and I must say its pretty good. I keep forgeting the names of the characters, heh except Probey , but I'll still watch it. Leary's character is such a freaking pathalogical liar though. I mean damn does he lie so much. My only complaint really is that they won't show any ass or boobs. I thought they could show that one cable tv after 10? I could have sworn that there was a show, maybe it was the Shield, that did that. Or maybe it was NYPD Blue? I mean if their saying stuff like pussy, bullshit, and blow job all the time and Nip/Tuck is showing ass and all that gruesome surgeory, then I don't see the big deal about showing some books during the fuck scenes. Heh or not during them as well. :D

Did anyone catch the last episode "Sanctuary"? My TiVo stopped taping right when Franco got Tommy out of the burning room then it looked like something fell on Franco. Can anyone fill me in on the final minutes of the episode?

Damn I forgot about this show. I have to make sure and watch it tonight. I have missed like the last month, but luckily due to baseball they probably didn't show brand new episodes. At least I hope not. Heh the funny thing is I still don't know everyone's name on the show since they don't always say them. Oh well I'll learn eventually.

unfortunately the season's over. they only did 13 shows. According to their official message boards they start filming again in February. I'm dissapointed I have to wait so long. Also there's no word on if they're gonna run a marathon or release a DVD set. I'm almost positive they'll release a DVD set though.

Everything seem to release a DVD set nowadays, even if its not popular. I mean FOX has already released season 1 of the OC on DVD. Now this might just be me, but I think after only 1 season is way to soon. Hell even Greg the Bunny has a DVD out and FOX cancelled that show after not even 1 season. The only thing that doesn't have a DVD set is Boston Public. Which is just stupid as all hell since it was on for 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 before FOX cancelled it. They better make a boxed DVD set of all the episodes or something, and include the ones that were filmed but just never aired. I doubt I would be able to afford it since those things are expensive, but I could always save up since I love that show.

Is it 9 or 10 that its on? I forget. I have a cousin's birthday party today but hopefully I will be back in time. Heh my only complaints really about the show is theres no female nudity. I mean just like Nip/Tuck they advertise nudity but its always man ass. Now I don't expect them to be showing juggling boobs right in front of the camera, that would be awsome though, but I would like to see a females full ass now and then to be fair.

Well I could have actually caught it since we got back at like 10-10:05 or something, but I was just way to tired and went right to bed. Heh then I slept for the next 12 hours or so. I suppose thats what I get when I have to be up and at work by 7 am 4 days a week and I'm not a morning person. And I like to watch the late night shows. They'll probably repeat it next week anyway so I'll just watch it then. At least provided I don't fall asleep again first.

Dude this is like one of the best comedy/drama ...would you consider that a first..I mean it its not a type of drama or comedy, just seems to be both at the same time and does really well. For those pacific time, it'll start in an hr. It always starts Tues. 10/9 central I believe.

Boston Public was a comedy/drama long before the idea of Rescue me was even concieved. But I'm sure there was a show on even before Boston Public that was the same type of format being neither yet both at once.
Anyway yeah its a great show. I missed last week though and the party thrown at the Chief's house. Is his son still staying with him or did he leave yet?
BTW, Matrix hes sober now.

He's still there. well yeah but there something oddly diff bout this series.
And oh yes he is "sober" now hehe...God I swear when they tried making the poem, one saids passionate words, the other saids 'GO FOR TITS" and them arguing was just plain classic.

No to mention Boston Public was on LONG before Monk was.
Damn I miss that show. Fucking FOX having to cancel all the good shows. Bunch of bastards. And to make it worse I doubt they are ever going to release the show onto DVD, so the only way to see it again would be to download it. Which is illegal and if caught I would get sued by FOX even though they won't show it anymore!

I wasnt exacty consider Boston Public a comedy drama...maybe just a drama...but a damn good drama though. (Actually it was my dad that got me into it, watched it a couple of times, thought it was good.) Its just a drama with a few funny moments....
well okay for some reason at first when you said Boston Public, for some reason I was thinking of a diff show but I now remember.

Boston Public was the show with the big black dude as principal and Nicky Katt and that suicide club? If so, I thought that was great too, but I didn't really get into it until late in the season so I probably missed alot.
I'm sure it will be released on DVD eventually, but probably not for a veeeery long time.

Yeah its a good thing you relized you were thinking of a diferent show since otherwise I would just have to say what the fuck is wrong with you? Heh I mean every Lipshits Moment(I'm sure thats now how its spelt to) is priceless. Heh the best one of all time I think though is when he set up Goober to think he was going to be directing a symphony so Goober went to the place and it turned out to be nothing but an empty parking lot. And then when he(Lipshits) told him it was just priceless. Damn I'm going to miss that show.
The only thing I didn't like about it though is how some characters just dissapeared without any type of storyling explanation. If the actor didn't want to do it anymore fine, but you can't have one person leave and you say why and then another leaves and then you act like they never existed before. Then some storylines were just kind of all together dropped sometimes which was a little irratating, but otherwise thats ones of my favorite shows. One of the only shows I would always watch no matter what.

Oh why thank you. For some reason I was thinking that show with James Spade and Will Shatner...yeah it was quite a good series, dont quite remember what you just said but it sounds funny. If they ever do air it again, I wouldn't mind watching it to give it a 2nd chance, I mean if my dad enjoyed it, then I'm sure I can too. ^_^

Oh FUCK! Damnit I forgot again. Thats two weeks in a row now I forgot about it and/or have fallen asleep before it was on. God damnit. I wish they would reair the things before they show the next one. That would be nice, and lets face it its not like FX has tons of other great new shows that they can air instead. The network is made up of mostly reruns afterall.

I am SOOOOO pissed that I missed this. Its all because of Comcast to. Our cable was out from somewhere around 9 to well past 11 at least. The electricity and everything else was fine, just the cable didn't work. That pisses me off so much since there was no reason for it being out at all other then they just felt like being an even bigger bunch of pricks then they already are. I just hope I can catch it before the next episode so I know whats going on.
