After all the drama that spawned from Brett Seyler's blog post about Pricing and Licensing (http://www.garagegames.com/community/blogs/view/15952), it's good to finally see all of the speculation and rumors come to an end. Finally, there is a pricing structure for Torque 3D! It appears there will be three flavors.
Basic, this will be the low end $250. While it will include things like advanced physics, material editor, and Collada content pipeline; it will not include features like advanced lighting, web publishing or source code. It is NOT available for pre-order.
Pro, this is targeted towards people that already own TGEA. It will include all the features of basic has well as features like advanced lighting, web publishing and source code. It will be priced at $1000 after pre-order. However, if you purchase during pre-order it will be $800. Moreover, if you purchase during pre-order AND you own TGEA, it wil be $505.
Studio, this is for the "BIG BOYS." The version includes all the options of Pro as well as floating licenses, allows games that make over $250K annually, and non-game projects. Wait...what!?! Anyway, this version will be priced at $3000.
Cool video links of new features of Torque 3D in action are available from the source link below.
