OLD SCHOOL MARIO!!!!!!!!

This was the most addictive game to me on the NES, but we did pop it in to play duck hunt sometimes (it had Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt) But ever since they came out with all the old games on the GBA, I got mario and can hardly put it down. I missed it soooooooooooooo much. We gave our NES :( :cry: :( :( and Sega Genesis :) to a thrift shop to get a PS1 :) . Then we got a PS2 :-D :D :-D , I got a Special Yellow Version GC :) :D , and I got a Platnum GBA :D :D :) .

I always like the original Super Mario Bros even though I could never beat it. I got all the way up to world 8-2 or 8-3 with those two big huge jumps one right after the other, and I could never make the second one. So thats kind of annoying. Then Super Mario 3 was cool even though I only got to level 3 or something I think. The 2nd one was just kind of weird and I couldn't get past that ice stage level 5 I think since I kept slipping on the ice and dying. Mario Bros was pretty cool to from what I can remember of it. Last time I played it though was well over 10 years ago so I forget most of whats in it.

same here... all i can remember is a dungeon with lava and having to avoid these moving... chains.. and in one of them you jump on top of the wall and walk over and over and over and get a flute... maybe that was the 3rd..?


Great games though... im thinking of getting another NES on ebay for old times sake.

Yeah the one with the flute was Super Mario Bros. 3 (also an awesome game). Super Mario 1 was where you jumped on the flagpole at the end of levels :)

And yeah that was and is a great game. I never liked mario tho I always would select a 2 player game kill mario and play with luigi. I guess I liked green more than red...since in mario1 they both looked the frecking same :lol:

Only mario i've ever owned is the first. I hope that they come out with super mario bros 2 and 3 for the gba just like the first. That would be good.

The original Super Mario Bros. is the best game ever IMO until the release of Psychonauts.

I like to challenge myself with Super Mario Bros now. I hold down the run button throughout the whole level, and try to complete it as fast as I can. It is pretty fun and challening.

I was a pro at the old Mario games. Well, not 2. I never really got into 2, and I can't remember if I've beat it. 1 and 3, however, are two of my all-time favorite games. Once the cash flow increases, I plan on snagging an old Nintendo off eBay, or perhaps a tag sale, and getting my old favorites back.

I gonna get an nes and snes when i get de money. Get all my old faves. Archon, Super Mario Bros. 1,2,and3, Origional Zelda, Ice Climbers, Donkey Kong. gonna have sum old skool fun;)
