I recently purchased a couple cd's and I like to make copies to play in the car to protect the originals. Some of the newer cd's when copied some of the songs have skips in them. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Probably not copy protection, How fast is your burner? If you set it to a lower speed at burning, it may not make as much skips.

I have a 30x and a 48x. I've never had a problem until these last couple cds. I'll try it though when I get home.

Damn.

Did you try ripping and then burning?

I always rip to the HD first.

Hmm...Are they skipping as MP3's?

It certainly could be copy protection.

This list (http://ukcdr.org/issues/cd/bad/) appears to be pretty comprehensive of copy-protected CDs.

Outta curiosity, what program are you using to rip the CDs?
