Just found this site, so I dunno how good it is. Looks like its free. At the very least, it can supplement formal class. JapaneseLearning.com (http://www.japaneselearning.com/)

Personally I would be a little skeptical of a site called japaneselearning.com since it seems to obvious and more like a joke, but the site is bookmarked and I'll check it out more tomorrow when I have time. I'm still probably going to get some books at some point to learn to speak Japanese, but this is certainly a start. I just wish I knew of places where I could learn from an actual class. Problem with that is I don't really have much money to afford it, plus I work in retail so my scedule is always different so thats a problem, and I certainly can't afford a tutor. Heh being interested in a ton of things and not being rich really sucks since I can't afford anywhere near the amount of stuff I like, even when its educational and good for you/me.

Oh ye of little faith ;-). I hear ya and I'm usually skeptical of things on the web, buuuut I haven't found any costs and the lessons seem legit. I remember there used to be a series "Language" in 10 minutes a day that taught the touristy basics. Or maybe some language tapes/discs? Unfortunately, my plan of learning Japanese by going to sushi restaurants seems destined for failure as it costs too much and I like Sake too much 8)

You may wanna check out www.jref.com. They've got a ton of stuff overthere about Japan. They've even got a pretty decent looking forum. But not as good as All Games

We can put a man on the Moon, but we can't make money grow on trees. :doubt:

Anyway I'm still going to check it out. Learning would be hard as hell though since aparently theres different words for counting different objects/people in Japan. I would imagine Chinese and the other Asian languages are much the same as well. Which does make things much harder, but I still want to try even though I doubt I will ever be lucky enough to get the chance to go to Japan. On a side note though I now know how to count to 3 in 4 different languages. I could have sworn I knew another, but for now its English, French, Spanish, and Japanese. Then I can always just ask my sister what one two three are in Latin. Heh I can now referee a wrestling match in a few dozen countries.

BTW, you don't know for sure if we landed on the moon. There is that whole controversy of the flag waving in the breeze when there is supposed to be no air in space at all. And the convienance of it happening in 1969 when JFK said in like 60 or 61 we would land on it by the end of the decade.

Ya might want to checkout the The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program (http://www.jetprogramme.org/e/index.html) . Only requirements are that English is yer native language and you gots some fuddy-duddy college Bachelors.

And I didn't say we landed, just that we can put a man on the Moon (not necassarily a live one) :-D
