I've never been into star wars... but when i was surfin the WOW forums i came across this... a 14 day trial of SWG! im gonna check it out because the only other MMORPG i've tried is the Dark Age of Camelot trial, which might I add completely sucked. It's going on until around the end of July and you can download it at gamespot and i think fileplanet but the site is working for me right now... just make an account on gamespot and your set

It was ok for a month, but then the "new MMORPG" feel wore off like it always does. Ever since Asheron's Call, all MMORPGs are the same but with a different cover.

Yeah I played it for 3 months, then ended up going back to DAoC. Its ok but when it was released it was missing a lot of the features that I was looking forward to. It also seemed to allow you to advance waaay to fast IMO. Then once you maxed out I didn't feel there was much more to do. I'm thinking of trying it out again especially for the space expansion...as that has some potential.

Its a waste of time to try downloading it unless you pay for Fileplanet. If you don't then its at least an hour wait, I had to wait an hour even at 1 in the morning. Then the actual download itself takes over 5 hours. So its not really worth it if you ask me. It pisses me off even more since then the thing froze on me and so I basically wasted all that time for nothing.

Even after downloading it you'll still have to buy the full retail copy as the demo limits your cash to 50,000 credits. This is pretty crippling considering everything in the game costs something!

lol... I seriously can't wait for WoW... it's probably my most anticipated game ever... just because ive never gotten into an MMORPG and i want to see how great everyone claims... and blizzard never fails.

I play Everquest, the best out right now, and there are no real good MMORPGs out there, and they never end up owning up to the hype... I hope WoW does, I want that game to succeed so bad because I want to play it. :P
