I recently bought a Netgear Wireless 802.11G Router. Now I'm planning on having the router in a different room from the PC's. Instead of buying wireless cards for all my PC's I was thinking of getting a Wireless Access point for the computer room. Now I noticed that WAP's have only one connection on the back. So I'd have to hook it up to a switch (which I already have). My question is, what if I just bought another wireless router. Could I use it as a WAP? They're roughly the same cost.

Yes, you can use a router as a switch/wireless AP.

As long as the SSID, channel, and WEP/WPA encryption keys are configured correctly, it'll work just fine.
