Israel’s illegal but unstoppable barrier

Well I figured its about time for another potentially heated debate so here it comes.

Even after the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel's barrier in the West Bank is illegal it still will continue. Now I have really no problems with the wall that Israel is building if it were on its own side of the "future boarder". But it isn't to me it would be similar to if East germany built the wall in parts of West Berlin. That would have been totally unaceptable and prolly would have forced WW3. In any case I'm interested in what others think of this issue, if we can keep it civilized that'd be great.

Anything to keep the barbarians out. :D Can't reason with the people. I think Sharone had a cease fire for awhile then they ran in and blew up a wedding party or something. Either let them kill em all or build a wall. I have a feeling if the US wasn't holding them back Israel would have probably already taken care of the problem.

Oh that's all fine and good but the thing is why couldn't they build it on Israel's side of the boarder. I'm all for doing whatever you wanna do on your own territory. That's my only complaint.

And then Israel would have been wiped off the face of the earth by the rest of the Muslim Middle Eastern countries. I don't get why you don't understand that only a very small percentage of Palastinines are actually doing this. But if you want to generalize we'll do it this way: Are you Christian? Because if you are your a terrorist. SOME Christians are because they bomb abortion clinics, but going by your "logic" all Christians are terrorists because they are still part of the same general group.

There is a slight difference here. Christians don't glorify a person that does a crime like that. They throw them in jail for life or kill them then they round up anybody else that may have conspired in that and do the same to them. Palastinines on the other hand throw parties in the streets and pay off the families of the people that did it.

Also you have to be kidding about the other countries taking Israel out. They have an army that is so good and have so much stuff and they wouldn't care about petty PR like we do. They could lay waste to everybody in their path. They are about as well armed as we are both conventional and nuclear.

I have never heard the likes of Pat Robertson complain about abortion clinic bombers, yet he ALWAYS complains about ALL Palastinines because only a select few do acts like this in revenge. I mean maybe if Israel didn't colonize land that wasn't theres and then shell some towns to the ground then there wouldn't be so much fighting in the first place. Hell they wouldn't even be a country in it wasn't for America basically taking land from other people and giving it to them. The least Israel can do is let the Palastinines have their own country in the West Bank, in land that is supposed to be theirs in the first place.

Yeah but what do you expect when Israel uses tanks instead? A suicide bomber blows himself up and kills a few people and injures others so Israel basically comes with their tanks and destroys a whole town kill many more. Doesn't exactly seem like a fair trade to me. Especially since Israel is purposly targeting civilians and not military outposts/bases. Then they claim to be better then the suicide bombers. I hate hypocrites.

yeah the whole situation is f-ed up down there. You also need to keep in mind that most Palestinians live in shit conditions. Even a "good" one can't easily live a better life. Add to this the fact that they view Israel as occupying their country and that really paints a shitty picture for them. Unfortunatley they have idiot fanatics that really ruin their dreams of having their own state.
I mean imagine if one day your state was annexed and given to Hindus and a new government etc was established and you were made a 2nd class citizen. You'd prolly be pissed off too. Again I'm not saying that blowing civilians up is right, cause it's not.
I think if they directed their suicide bombers on military targets that may be more acceptable. Especially military forces in Gaza and the West Bank. Still not a good solution but at least I consider that more acceptable.
