I'll get it eventually, just once I get the first one.

Luckly I think the first one is going down to 20 bucks soon, or already is, so I'll pick it up around Christmas when I get money. I would have already had it almost a year ago since KB Toys was having a big going out of buisness sale, but the left the damn box on the shelf and didn't have any more copies of it! That pissed me off since I would have got it for around 15 bucks brand new. Ah well.

The good thing is theres so many games I want to get now that are only 20 bucks(GC and PS2) that I can just pick those up without it being to big of a hit to m wallet since I need to save money up. Then when I get done with all those, the newer games I want will have come down in price. Of course things could always be made easier if I won the lottery, but this is certainly better then nothing.

cool...
I say a review out of my trusty EGM: they love it, it's a true old school style game like the first one. And -like the first one- the only thing really against is they can't seem to be able to deal with a game without some epic storyline and/or plot twists.....whatever
And fortunatly, they compared the multiplayer to Halo 2(which was reviewed in the same issue...) which, seems kinda unfair really.
All-in-all they gave it: 9.0 9.0 10 (out of 10) seems like asteal to me.

Oh, is it just me who thinks Dark Samus is like a freakn' ninja?

Im actually glad this Metroid has a story...I saw some information on it at Gamespot. It said, that this game will have a story but, It will be done with text -- Instead of using voice overs. That makes alot of sense (IMO) becuase times change and voice actors die...However, with dialog the charater will always be the same. Besides, people actually have to read this way! Keeps people smart...

if i had a cube, i would get it, because after playing Metroid Prime for a while, i realized how freaking sweet it was.

even though the controls are kinda wierd, there is a whole lot of game under the hood.

Yea. Like I said it's not a FPS, It's an FPAA (Action/Adventure) and even though the controls kind of suck, it doesn't make the game worse -- The auto lock works fine and still produces challange.

ah, challenge! :smt050 . Not hard; Challenge!
The word to describe Prime, happly seated right next to fun.

Though I'm sure that the lock-on is a little weird in multiplayer, but I'm sure it works...

If you can get past the rather outdated 1 analog stick controls, Then you will love MP2. You can pick up a new GC for only 100 and a used one for only 50. Plus, MP1 is only like 15 bucks now. If you get the money, I'd recomend buying a GC.

yeah, but i'd rather spend 100 bucks on an upgrade for my system.

if i won the lottery, i'd buy a gamecube after i buy a big-ass 22" CRT Monitor.

I'll most likely get one once the next round of consoles kicks in.

It's all good as long as you don't bash consoles (which you don't). :smt066

Maybe. I may rent it first. I really didn't like the first. WAY too much backtracking and I had no clue what I was doing or where I should go

I was never a big fan of MP1. Sure it was a good game, but the claustrophobic level design and slow combat got on my nerves at alot. And he scanning..... Bleh.

Atleast this one is more action oriented and has bigger environments, along with an ACTUAL storyline. I'll pick it up eventually, but I'm not too excited.

Well, Like I say...Metroid (Any of them) isn't for everyone.

I admit Prime doesn't feel as smooth and well balanced like the 2D Metroids. I still found Prime to be a very fun and rather unique Metroid experience though.
