I honestly think I liked the old scoring system better, but this is what we have now. Only one race left and things are really close, for those who weren't paying all that much attention and are a little curious.

Rank Driver Behind
1......Kurt Busch...........Leader
2......Jimmie Johnson......-18
3......Jeff Gordon...........-21
4......Dale Earnhardt Jr...-72
5......Mark Martin..........-82
6......Tony Stewart......-185
7......Ryan Newman......-244
8......Matt Kenseth.......-383
9......Elliott Sadler........-383
10....Jeremy Mayfield....-404

For Kurt, Jimmy and Jeff it should be one hell od a season ending race. With that said, COME ON GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last race is at Homestead Miami, isn't it? I thought Gordon was pretty good there, so things are hopefully looking up for him.

Well, Gordon gave it all he had, just couldn't quite do it. Congrats to Kurt Busch.

i like it, i just think some tweaks need to be made to the points system. like giving a winner of a race 50 points more than the second place finisher.

I personally liked the old system better. So what if you only won a single race, but came in the top 10-15 for the rest of them? That just proves you're more consistent than all of the other drivers. Maintaining consistency is much harder than just winning 5 out of the last 10 races, IMO.
