every year on madden when i start my franchise, i trade one of my star players to one of the teams that got a decent qb and or rb in the draft. like this year, when i play as the rams i plan on shipping whatever takes to san diego to get rivers. i just like taking a rookie qb/rb, and personally molding him into a star. i may get in trouble this year though with the player happiness being added in. i'm sure bulger is going to wonder what the hell is going on when i bench him for a rookie.

I usually keep all my players, and pay them well. I've never gone over the salary cap, not even sure what happens in the game if you do, I can usually manage to stay 5-11 million under and paying all the home growns what they want, does take away from depth a bit though.

well...i don't think you can go over the cap, but i know the one thing i do do is turn off those damn cap penalties. you get a penalty just about everytime you trade if you don't.
